THE Chinese Buffet Rebrands AS TCB

It’s all change at the recently rebranded TCB Unlimited Dining Experience, previously THE Chinese Buffet!

If you haven’t been back to what was previously known as THE Chinese Buffet, since before all the covid restrictions turned the world upside down, you’ll be in for treat, as what we all knew and loved before has now become even better!

As previously reported, during the first lockdown in 2020, when covid restrictions threatened to close our restaurants completely, we developed a new style of Table Service Buffet, allowing us to keep our doors open and continue to serve when allowed.

The concept retained the traditional buffet ethos, loved so much by our customers, of ‘eat as much as you like’ but allowed them to order via a bespoke App, designed in house especially for our menu and style of service.

We called it our ‘Table Service Buffet’, with customers remaining seated at all times and ordering unlimited dishes via the app downloaded to their phones, which our team then delivered directly to their table.

You can also order drinks and even pay via the app, making it a truly contactless experience.

However, you guessed it! The service was actually no longer a buffet service at all and some of our customers began to get confused!

They came expecting a buffet but quickly realised they had to remain seated at their tables, especially to comply with the government guidelines in force at the time.

The fact was, most of our customers really liked the new system and we quickly realised we had to keep things the way they were, even after the distancing rules and covid guidelines for hospitality began to ease.

However, there were still a few who preferred the old way and expected us to return to a traditional buffet in the fullness of time and our name ‘THE Chinese Buffet’ suggested we might do just that.

But having listened to our customers, we knew the new table service was here to stay. So the next thing that needed to happen was to rebrand and change our name!

So THE Chinese Buffet Group will now be known as The TCB Unlimited Dining Experience – Redefined.

It’s a new, more sophisticated way of dining not dissimilar to A’ La Carte but still giving you the choice of how much and in what order you enjoy your meal, just like choosing from a buffet.

I don’t know about you but I like to get stuck into a few different starters before having one main course and I may then go back to the starters before enjoying a selection of desserts!

The app remains under continuous development and now those having downloaded it will collect ‘points’ every time they visit, which all go towards loyalty bonuses which can be redeemed on drinks or even a whole adult meal when you collect enough!
