We’ve created a new and exciting way to dine!
We love our staff here at TCB Unlimited Dining Experience ‘Redefined’ and as it was International Waiter’s Day earlier this week, 17th May 2022, we wanted to tell you how we use serving robots to support front of house teams in all our restaurants.
If you’ve visited any of our restaurants recently, you’ll definately have seen the robots roaming around, busily delivering dishes and helping our waiters and waitresses, carrying dishes to and from customers tables, taking the load off our fantastic staff.
Each of our restaurants has at least two and some four robots supplied by Hutech Robotics, the main distributor of PuDu Robots in the UK and each has a different job.
Here’s a quick introduction to each of the robots, so you know what they’re upto next time you see them in the restaurant.

Our main robot server is Bellabot, or ‘Bella’ as she’s affectionately known and her job is to run food from the kitchen to your table.
She’s very efficient, never gets tired and will always keep out of your way if you meet her in the aisles!
She has sensors to detect obsticles (including little childeren) and you’ll hear her cheery voice as she brings your food, announcing ‘here I come with yummy delights!’
If you’re lucky enough to be in the restaurant for your birthday and let the team know, Bella will also sing happy birthday to you. She’s full of surprises.
Oh, and if you stroke her ears, she loves it!!
Kettybot
Kettybot’s Bella’s little sister, you won’t see her round as much as her job is more of concierge, leading customers to their tables ot cruising around the restaurant letting you know about offers of upcoming events.
Ketty’s quite a bit smaller than Bella but she’s equally full of surprises, as you could arrange for a short video or photograph to be displayed on her screen if you had a very important event or person in your party and wanted to celebrate in style.
Like I said, you won’t see Ketty around quite as much as Bella but if you visit the new Bury restaurant, after it reopens in a month or so, I’m sure she’ll be there, as we’re intending to have a lot of robots doing all sort of things there.
Holabot
Now Holabot’s a different beast, he’s the big daddy of them all and his job is to help the waiters and waitresses collect the dirty plates and cutlery and take it all back to the dishwasher.
He’s a lot bigger and has a bigger carrying capacity and to be honset looks a little menacing!
But don’t worry he’s very polite too and will stay out of your way, avoiding obsticles and people as he goes about his work.
So there we have it, a whole family of robot waiters, working alongside and helping our fabulous waiters and waitresses, taking the heavy lifting and legwork out of their job, giving them more time to spend with you, our lovely customers to make sure you have a fantastic time while you’re in any of our restaurants.
If you haven’t been back to what was previously known as THE Chinese Buffet, since the crazy Covid times, a lot has changed and you’ll love what’s been going on.
We are now totally table service, where you order tapas style dishes from an app on your phone and Bella, in most cases will bring the food to your table, leaving you to sit back, relax and enjoy the company of your family or friends.
You can also order drinks and even pay your bill via the app too.
AND
Don’t forget that every time you visit and everything you order add’s points to the app, which you can redeem against food and drinks the next time you come.
